Shepherd’s Purse specializes in small but efficient garden plots.
We pride ourselves in carving out a thriving, bountiful garden in formerly neglected and unused spaces. In a recent growing season, we produced 2000 pounds of fresh vegetables!
Shepherd’s Purse primarily operates between May and October. Garden plots are staffed entirely by volunteers. Food is distributed through community organizations such as food pantries, meal programs and churches.
Community partners in our recent growing seasons have included:

- Wauwatosa Food Pantry
- Various churches and individuals
